We are pleased to announce we now stock Sparkenhoe Red Leicester from the Leicestershire Handmade Cheese CO.
Opened a new shop in Stoney Stanton inside the local post office. The shop is manned all day Friday and half day Saturday. We sell our pork products and chicken products from the shop. Also we have a gift ware section in the shop, please come and see.
We are a newly established farm in south Leicestershire where we have set up home for ourselves and our Gloucester Old Spot pigs.
The Gloucester Old Spot is a hardy traditional pig perfectly suited to an outdoor life. They are a lovely breed with plenty of character, they are a slow growing pig which allows the meaty texture to come through. The quality of the meat is exceptional and full of flavour. We choose traditional rare breed pigs so as we can produce pork that tasted like pork used too. We add no preservatives or water to our pork.
They are reared in paddocks where they have room to explore their natural instinct for rooting around in the earth. During the winter months we try to keep them outside for as long as possible but when the conditions get too severe we bring them under cover. They are fed free range pig food and enjoy apples from our friut trees and cabbage from our garden also they adore acorns from our well established oak trees.
We offer you the opportunity to visit the farm and see for yourself the complete story of how your pork is produced and therefore giving you full tracability. They are happy and content and live stress free lives.
We have now introduced free range egg laying chickens and ducks. The chickens have
a large hen house and full access to outdoor paddocks. Their food is mainly a free
